In this article, we present a reflection about the experiences and difficulties experienced by the author during the fieldwork for our doctoral research in Law, which links prejudice and discrimination suffered by transvestites and trans-women with the issue of trafficking for sexual exploitation. The article was conceived at the intersection between Law and Anthropology scholarship, in order to analyze the misfortunes that occur during fieldwork. The objective is to show that there are some research topics in the Law that do require interdisciplinary knowledge for producing appropriate scientific research.
