Esta resenha se propõe a apresentar e descrever os principais tópicos, assim como apontar algumas críticas ao livro de Simon Dickel, Embodying Difference: Critical Phenomenology and Narratives of Disability, Race, and Sexuality, publicado em 2022. O livro se insere na tradição da fenomenologia e dialoga com o pós-estruturalismo e os estudos críticos. O autor se debruça sobre os temas da deficiência, raça e sexualidade e, como base empírica para a sua argumentação, recorre primariamente a narrativas literárias ficcionais e não ficcionais e, secundariamente, ao cinema.
